Neil M. Mullins

Neil is proud to announce he has join his friend, and fellow OU College of Law Alumni, and colleague, Jason Naimi as Named Partner at NAIMI +MULLINS Law Group, effective October 2023; and will complement a group of talented and highly ethical family and divorce lawyers that have achieved distinction and excellence within the Nevada Bar.

Neil M. Mullins was born in Hudson, New York on December 31, 1962. He graduated with honors from Hudson High School in 1981; from SUNY College at Buffalo, cum laude in 1985; and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University Oklahoma College of Law in 1988. While in Oklahoma Neil became an avid Sooner fan to add to his fanatic following of the Boston Red Sox. His law office Red Sox collection of signed and authentic Red Sox memorabilia is admired by all but Yankee fans, and even they appreciate the collection. Neil is a founding season ticket holder to the Vegas Golden Knights and enjoys playing tennis and political debate as hobbies.

During law school, Neil was distinctly privileged to serve as law clerk to the Honorable Chief Justice John B. Doolin of Oklahoma Supreme Court during both his 2nd and 3rd years.

Neil was admitted to the Nevada Bar, thel Courts in the U.S. Ninth Judicial District in 1988. Neil is a member of the Nevada State Bar-Litigation and Family Law Sections. Neil is a Nevada Board Certified Family Law Specialist; and certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy for Family Law. Neil is Fellow, American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Neil is AV rated ( pre-eminent distinction) by Martindale-Hubbell; and was named a Super Lawyer.

Work History ( after admission to Bar in 1988) :
From 1988 to 1990 Neil tried his first 4 jury trials and several bench trials while an associate at Rawlings, Olson and Cannon where he practiced insurance, Product Liability and professional malpractice defense. In January 1991 Neil founded Mullins Law Firm where he practiced family law, personal injury, business and real estate litigation until 2000, when his practice focused nearly exclusively on family law. Neil has extensive trial and family law experience. Neil has tried more than 12 civil jury trials, more than 100 bench trials; and he has represented more than 2500 family law clients over the past several decades. He has served as a private arbitrator and mediator to assist with case resolution for lawyers seeking alternative dispute resolution for their clients.

From August 2014 to October 2023 Neil was privileged to join his distinguished colleague and friend, Ed Kainen, as a partner, at Kainen Law Group, an AV rated firm. At Kainen Neil’s practice focused on complex family law litigation and division and valuation of high asset marital estates. Neil has has presented at continuing legal education classes in he areas of the use of psychological experts in custody cases; tax implications of divorce settlements; and alternative dispute resolution; and mediation.

Thanks to great clients, great colleagues and their referrals , and a terrific and thriving business and cultural environment to complement the dynamics of a divorce practice in Las Vegas, the mecca of matrimonial law, Neil is proud to continue to serve the community and the family bar.
